REDDITCH United manager Tim Flowers has resigned from his role following an approach from another club.
Flowers steps down from the role with immediate effect ahead of Redditch’s Southern League Premier Central fixture against Stamford this afternoon.
The Reds currently sit sixth in the table, just one point outside of the play-off places.
A club statement reads: “Redditch United can announce that first team manager Tim Flowers has decided to step down with immediate effect following an approach from another club.
“We were made aware that Tim would not be returning late yesterday.
“Supporters of the club should rest assured that although this is unexpected, we will move swiftly to appoint a new manager to continue our positive start to the season.”
Flowers only took charge at the Valley Stadium in the summer after guiding Bromsgrove Sporting to safety in the previous campaign.
