REDDITCH Borough Ladies secured an emphatic 5-1 derby win against local rivals Redditch United Women at Arrow Vale Sports Centre.
Borough broke the deadlock on 25 minutes when Grace Murphy pounced on a back pass and found the net via the aid of both posts.
And the home side doubled their lead when a United clearance hit Millie Connolly-Heath in the face and rebounded into the goal.
Borough extended their lead courtesy of Olivia Dargie’s strike from distance before United’s Marianna Redmond-Lyon headed in at a corner to reduce the deficit.
And a late brace from Esther Lau-Mackaay, her second coming from the penalty spot, added some gloss to the scoreline.
The result means Borough sit fourth in the West Midlands Regional League Division One South table with United down in eighth.
