ALVECHURCH surrendered a half-time lead in a 3-1 defeat at Stratford Town in their penultimate game of the season.
A stunning strike from Joe Willis put Church ahead only for Charlie Williams to score a hat-trick after the break at the Arden Garages Stadium.
The game initially took place on Easter Monday only for two players and a supporter to require hospital treatment which led to the abandonment of the fixture.
Despite Stratford leading the original tie 3-0 late on, the Southern Football League ordered both clubs to replay the fixture in its entirety.
The result means Alvechurch sit 13th in the Southern League Premier Central with one match left to play this season.
Church broke the deadlock on the half-hour mark when Willis curled a superb effort into the bottom right corner from just outside the penalty area.
However, the Bards drew level two minutes after half time as Williams struck to level the contest.
And Williams put Stratford ahead on 63 minutes at the home side completed the turnaround.
The Bards extended their lead on 73 minutes as Williams completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot.
Alvechurch finish the season against Lowestoft Town on Saturday, April 26 with kick-off at 3pm at Lye Meadow.
