REDDITCH United have appointed Jordan Cranston as captain ahead of the start of the 2024/25 season with Alex Cameron named vice-captain.
Reds manager Tim Flowers has put his faith in the experienced full-back who initially joined the club on loan in January last year and helped Redditch reach the play-off semi-finals.
The Reds begin their Southern League Premier Central campaign this weekend and Cranston wants to build on the club’s success last season.
Cranston said: “I’m happy to be appointed captain of the team for the upcoming season. It shows a lot of trust and faith from the management team and the squad to allow me to lead the team on and off the pitch.
“I want to bring my experience and character, as well as what I’ve learnt from different captains I’ve had the pleasure of working with throughout my career so far.
“There is one goal we have as a team, and that’s to build on what we achieved last season.
“We have signed a good group of players from last season and added to the group, we’ve had a good pre-season working hard and gelling together and we’re all looking forward to the season kicking off.”
Cameron added: “I’m proud to be looked up to as a leader by the staff and my teammates, this club’s got a special spot in my heart and I’ll do my best to keep pushing the team and the club in the right direction.”
