SPORTING Club Inkberrow maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-1 victory against Longlevens AFC.
Goals from Jay Higgins-Pugsley and Will Skelton put the home side in front at the break before substitute Oliver Smith sealed the points in the second half at Sands Road.
The result means Inkberrow sit fifth in the Hellenic League Premier Division table, four points behind leaders Roman Glass St George.
Longlevens started the brighter of the the two teams as Sporting goalkeeper Gabriel Bajrami made a couple of fine saves to keep the scores level.
Bajrami first pushed a close range shot wide before then superbly tipping a bullet header over the crossbar.
Sporting grew into the game and broke the deadlock on 28 minutes when a through ball found Higgins-Pugsley in space and he picked out the bottom corner.
And the home side doubled their lead on 38 minutes as Skelton rounded the Longlevens goalkeeper before finishing from a tight angle.
Sporting dropped deeper in the second period and eventually secured the points with 10 minutes left to play when Smith cut inside from the left and curled home from 20-yards out.
Longlevens grabbed a consolation goal at the death courtesy of substitute Alex Gayner but it proved too little too late.
Sporting Club Inkberrow are next in action away at Slimbridge on Tuesday, August 20 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Thornhill Park.
