TANWORTH and Camp Hill saw their 10-match unbeaten run come to an end following a seven-wicket defeat against league leaders Shipston-on-Stour.
TACH finished on 220-7 from their 45 overs as James Carey hit a fine half-century only for the visitors to reach 221-3 in the 43rd over of their reply at Tanworth Lane.
The result means Tanworth remain third in the Cotswold Hills League Premier Division table with their title hopes now all but over.
TACH won the toss and elected to bat as Jake Wright (23) and Andy Turnbull (29) put on 57 runs for the first wicket before fell in quick succession to Marcus Ireland (1-36) and Sam Dexter (2-45) respectively.
This brought Tom Smith (30) and Martin Perfect (11) to the crease as the former scored quick runs before Jonty Harvey (2-32) removed both batters.
Carey (54) produced another excellent knock to keep the runs flowing as Ben Bryant (26) fell to a yorker from Stefan Obermeyer (1-56).
And Oscar Newell (11) then fell to Alan Horsford (1-49) as Carey brought up his half-century before he was bowled by Dexter as TACH closed on 220-7.
Shipston made a similarly steady start in reply as Ryan Worthington (45) and Dan Knight (21) put on 45 runs for the first wicket before Bryant (1-43) had the latter caught at square leg.
Worthington and Jamie Shurmer (37) pressed on before Smith (1-48) removed Worthington and Tim Keyte (1-52) trapped the latter LBW.
However, Jack Murphy (66 not out) and Ireland (34 not out) produced a fine partnership to guide Shipston to victory in the 43rd over.
Tanworth and Camp Hill are next in action away at Wellesbourne on Saturday, August 24 with the game to begin at 12.30pm at Loxley Close.
